Loud clicking when pressing clutch - E46 M3

Hi guys,

Noticed there is a click when pressing the clutch and seems to be some sort of feeling of something trying to impede the full travel of the clutch pedal.

gears etc change fine....

Do you wear high heels for driving? Could be that.

It sounds like there is some play in the linkage from the pedal to the master cylinder or even the piston in the master cylinder sticking slightly. Vauxhalls have a kind of spring assister on ther clutch pedals to make operation lighter, this often breaks making no difference to the operation of the clutch but does produce a clicking sound, perhaps BMW fit something similar.

I had a creak/click on mine after I had a new gearbox fitted turned out it was something to do with release bearing new clutch kit sorted it courtesy of auc warranty

Having just spent 1k on the car this week. I will be pissed off if it needs a whole new clutch.
