Tdi intercooler pipe. Not on properly? Help :)

Hi all. Decided to take off my inter cooler pipe on my AJM tdi to see how much oil was inside

None dropped out what so ever. Cars done about 234,000 miles

However, when putting the pipe back on I didn't remember to take a pre picture and couldn't remember if the pipe was supposed to be on the plastic notch or just behind it?

Also when I rev the engine I can see the pipes beef out a little bit but no smoke or anything

If the pipes are flexing under boost pressure, it's a fairly safe bet you have no leaks.

I can't see a tide mark (i.e. clean area) where the hose would have sat so it looks like it has gone back on it's original position.
