Unfortunately, my days of owning a car purely for fun are gone for now thanks to buying a house, family, lack of garage space etc but I enjoyed owning "toys" when I was younger and ran company cars as dailys.

Between 2004 and 2007 I owned:
mk2 MX5
BMW 325i Cabriolet (E30)
VW Corrado VR6

More recently, my Inpreza WRX Wagon did quite a good job of being fun yet practical but it was my DD, so not really a "toy".

So, what is (are) your "toy(s)" (vehicles owned purely for your enjoyment) or have you never owned one. Feel free to post pics.

Since early '06, and through various stages of modification / performance changes this was my main one - Mk1 Focus RS - sadly it's been SORN since October '10 - hopefully being re-commissioned later this year or next :



Although for a few years it also used to be an R300 Superlight:



That was replaced with a Lotus Exige S:



Due to personal / health reasons since '09 I scaled back, sold the Exige and put the 205 GTI to use Most reliable car I've owned & probably the most fun overall even compared to the out & out thrills of the Catherham & Exige:

Hmmm. Well, with a Lotus, a Ferrari, an Aston Martin and an MX5 in the garage, I suppose on any reasonable count I have enough toys for now. But obviously the roads get crowded, the speed camera vans get everywhere and it can dull the enjoyment a bit.

So I get my 3 wheeler out and have some proper 3D fun, purely for enjoyment
