classic car day Friday - tomorrow looking forward to it

So the annual classic car day - it looks dry I'll be keeping an eye out for as many as possible.

Coincidentally my GTE 16V is out of hibernation AND I'm giving a work buddy a lift in tomorrow. That counts, right? It's 23 years old.

Chris Evans decided it's Classic car day tomorrow,drive it day which has been going for years is the 27th.

I am going to participate in both though......

In the 205GTI today, the only other thing I saw of interest in 35 miles was a Goldwing.

I haven't bought mine to work today, little point as it's only a 1 mile journey, they wouldn't even get warmed up!

I'll get them out this evening though

My dad had 3 different Safaris from a '64 red fluid up to about a '73 posh one. I spent a lot of time in the rear-gunner seats

I can't find the same kind of love for the safaris, they always seem wrong to me eyes, apparantly they were the popular choice in Britain.

Still having said that they are a thousand times more interesting than ythe modern boxes driving around

I went and pushed the Series a little bit up the drive, with no power, thats all I could do, then drove my french shed to work. I have however, spoilt it with a 200tdi engine today though

Roads in Edinburgh are still covered with salt/grit and its pouring down.

Drove the "little boat" to work top down.....

First other convertible I saw top down was a Bentley about 10 am,followed a minute later by a E21 3 séries.

Saw an oldie in an Austin 7 passing Brooklands and seen a few MGs about too.

So I saw one car today an MG midget which as it turned out was on the hard shoulder at c8:30am A34 East Ilsley junction going North.


Apart from that nothing.
