Jag XJ boot lock

Does anyone know if the little lump below the right rear light on the current Jag XJ is a boot lock? Was pondering them as a used buy and can't believe that's the best they could come up with. A bit like the telescopic aerial on the XK!

Edit, also does anyone know if they come with the screen that can show different things for the driver and passenger?
