Ferrari 308 GT4

A lovely 308 GT4 passed me today on the M11, whilst not the 'pretty version' I thought it had aged well.
Sadly I saw it again on the hard shoulder on fire, the owner could only stand a watch as his pride and joy went up in smoke.
Pretty sad really, could not image what was going through the guys mind.

That's awful, hate hearing of such news

Was just going to say that such cars should really carry a fire extinguisher, then realised I was planning on going down to Le Mans Classic this July in a 24 year old car without one. OK it's not quite as old and isn't a Ferrari, but even still I'd be gutted if it started to combust and I had no way of trying to handle the situation

My dad had one; totally unreliable, the rear seats were torture devices but it sounded great and went well!

That must of been a shame to see.

I remember seeing a lovely VW camper on the A27 by Lewes, it pulled in to the hard shoulder in front of me with some slight smoke coming from the rear. By the time I'd picked my pal up and gone past the other way it was a charred wreck!

Poor woman had bailed her kids and dog out and was stood there watching their pride and joy go up in smoke. Luckily some kind people had stopped to help.

I heard about this on a traffic report, they mentioned a classic Ferrari. Big delays on the M25. Poor bloke. Crap day.

Always carry one under my drives seat on a fitting bracket.
