Which one??

Hi guys,

Have about 17.000 euro to spend a new toy, and these are the "wished" ones, cars ive always admired and which to have them ( all at the same time!!!!), but i only can choose one!!!

Porsche 964 carrera 4
Lancia delta integrale EVO
Ford escort rs cosworth
Bmw m3 e46

All with the same kms and in good condition....

Which one and why? Relembre its a toy, practicality its not important

I'd go with the Integrale or 964, just drive them and see what you like I don't really see the M3 as a toy though

I'd probably go for the Porsche (although in 2WD form, for me). The BMW is far too sensible to be a "toy" and the superhatches don't really appeal somehow.

A toy? Err oh, watch out!! The Escort Cosworth for me. It was the car of the 90's & one I wish I had purchased. It would still be worth what I had paid if I had!! (although the insurance back then would have been crippling).

Porsche.

The others are a hatchback, an old ford, a corporate saloon.
The first two might be nice as third or fourth cars, the BMW perhaps if you want a quick commuter.

But, if you want some fun, get the Porsche.

The 964 is a great choice- build quality is superb, should hold it's value, but.....

I would look for a carrera 2, the 4 is nothing like as much fun to drive

With a dream list like that I'd go and try them all, and probably end up with either the Porsche or the BMW as both are fairly safe fairly main stream.

One thing i must add is that I already have a 964 c2 cabrio, so it's a 3rd toy actually....

The c2 are incredibly hard to find, one was in the web for 1 day, and was sold in the same day...the c4 are easier to find but I dont know if I'll feel some difference to the c2.

I'm trying to drive them all to get a better idea...I'm only afraid I like them all, and end up with more doubts!!! LOL

With extra cars I consider when I would rather drive car a rather than car b.

The weather will dictate some answers;
Hard top vs Soft top.
4wd vs red

Capacity others;
2 seats, 4 seats, bootspace.

I'd say it's always better than second or third car be significantly different to the other cars.
Otherwise you'll always be torn between them.

Same opinion, that's why I chose a coupe, the cabrio for summer, the coupe for winter and not so summer days....
4 seats it's a must, that's why all are 4 seater, bootspace not important, where I live there's not much winter, it lasts about 4 months,

I really love my 964, and to share more or less the same mechanics, could also be a benefit, similar knowledge, similar problems, etc....


But still, the c4 is a doubt, for being a c4...I much appreciate understeer to oversteer....

I go Delta too. I've owned the integrale versions since 1998. Still love them.
The Porsche is also a car I'd love in my garage.

Always thought the Escort was too soft. Bordered on chav back in the day, as opposed to the Lancia which always oozed a bit of mystique and charm.

The BM is a different type of car from the others. A fantastic everyday motor.
