What's the oldest car that could pull of a '14' plate?

I've recently moved house, and now have a tedious commute.

Since this I've been mulling something over (sad I know, but what else is there to do!)... What is the oldest car that wouldn't look out of place with a '14' plate on it?

I'll start with this,

2006, 8 years old - Ferrari 599:

A TVR, either the 2002 T350T/C or a 2004 Sagaris.

I don't think it is much stretch to get a car that has only just gone out of production to look 'new'.

A shiny 10yr old mk5 Golf would probably fool most people.

I suspect that all but the biggest of anoraks would have to think hard to work out if a 2001 Morgan Aero-8 was a model still in production or not.

Might it not depend on what you can actually find a new, unregistered example of? Whether it'd pass current type-approval and be registerable as new, rather than having to go for an age-related, is another question...

I think an RX7 could do it, however the pop up headlights do give them that classic look.

Caterham? Defender? Gelandewagen? Oh, come on! Yes, I am aware that they are all still in production to this day and that a very similar looking car could legitimately wear a '14'-plate, but that doesn't stop them looking dated by the many decades since they were designed. I'm not sure that was what the OP was after.

(Based on the OP's question) I agree with the Morgan suggestion myself. The G wagon is good, but the lack of led rear lights would give its age away.
