Personally I like my safety critical parts to come from the main dealer. Why risk your life for twenty quid?
Yes because the main dealers make there own brakes, um no they get them from brake manufactures same as all car parts stores but I would avoid getting stuff from ebay unless it's a reputable company.Have seen a few cases of this in Car Mechanics mag.
I can't believe the manufacturers can get away with a safety-critical item like this breaking up. How come no-one's taking these to Trading Standards or the HSE??
Whe the friction material was both riveted and bonded to the backing plates I guess this would not be possible, though perhaps I'm thinking of drum brake shoes rather than disc pads??
