Any suggestions on who is the best bet for UK breakdown cover that will cover 2 people in the same household who each drive their own vehicles please?

Probably goes without saying but I'm assuming this would be cheaper than each of us doing our own thing..

RAC do one. All people have to live in the same house and it covers the person not the car. So you have 3 cards for example and whatever vehicle each person is in is covered, even if its a friends. Good product.

We've got this cover through a Barclays current account (additions plus or something), they've been very good both times we had to use them.

Autoaid - £39 covers me and the wife for any vehicle. It's a top of the range policy equivalent to the best RAC and AA policies. We've used them a few times and always found them to be excellent.

Definitely Autoaid. They are happy to deal with a 40+ yr old Land Rover, Discovery 1 and my wife's C30 all for one price. They were very good when she got a puncture on the M4 on a Sunday morning.

You can be in any call as well, which helps as we have more cars than people.

Less than £100 for two people.

AA and RAC seem to offer best cover, get a personal cover for you and the wife, this covers any car.
I just opened a bank account with Nationwide. Joint account at 10 pound a month for full cover for 2 cars for both of us.
also get electrical goods cover, phone insurance, travel insurance and free cash withdrawals abroad
