No denying the M135i has a reputation for being a fantastic drivers car.

The looks however are subjective. There doesn't seem to be much in the middle ground.
What side of the fence are you on?

None are particularly great looking and the singling out of the M135i is rather odd in my opinion.

Most of the other hot hatch backs are little better but seem to go unnoticed. I find the situation all very strange.

I wouldn't say munter, but I wouldn't say stunning either. It's just another hatch to me.

Good interior, looks quite good from some angles but not a beauty.

Purposeful though and subtle which always appeals to me.

I think there are a few (not many) inoffensive modern hatchbacks, but you certainly can't say much more than that for them.

The BMW isn't one of them, it's foul.

Personally, I think it's very colour dependant. Guy at work has a black one and it looks awesome d perhaps hides some of the shape that others find a bit offensive.
