Can this tyre be repaired.
Discussion
Looks like quite a bit of life left in that tyre..... Though doubt anywhere will repair it for you. They would change it for a new tyre and then prob repair and sell it anyway.
Like another poster has said, drill a hole in the sidewall to stop it ending up on anyone else's car, but budget for a new tyre

that is in one of the thicker areas of the tyre, if it is a small screw have you actually checked that its gone right through and the tyre is definately leaking.
Very slow puncture. Came out this morning to find the thing flat. Reinflated and she is still holding 20psi now but it's definitely still leaking.GC8 said:
The answer is: YES!
Not a simple Kwik-Fit style plug repair though. It needs to be repaired using a hot vulcanising technique. Google "hot vulcanising repair" and youll see lots of PH threads where I have explained it.
Im afraid that all of the other answers are incorrect.
You are talking utter drivel today. And arrogant with it.Not a simple Kwik-Fit style plug repair though. It needs to be repaired using a hot vulcanising technique. Google "hot vulcanising repair" and youll see lots of PH threads where I have explained it.

Im sure that I found a hot vulcanising specialist in Kent for someone recently, but I cant see it right now.
If you trawl through the PH search results then Im sure that youll find one. Id expect to pay £15 for a repair, so if theyre charging more, or if they don't have a massive autoclave and need the tyre overnight then theyre either subbing it out and heavily marking it up or theyre not repairing it properly.
