Hi Guys

I'm picking up a 2009 Ford Focus from a Ford dealer next Thursday, and noticed when doing my research into the vehicle that it's registration number doesn't get recognised by Parker's valuation tool. Also when I enter it into the Ford Etis registration lookup it draws a blank. Every other Ford I've owned (5 of them) works fine.

http://www.etis.ford.com/vehicleRegSelector.do;jse...

And when I chuck it in things like GoCompare, where it would normally recognise the exact spec of the vehicle, it brings up a menu of about 10 choices (Fusion, Focus, C-Max, Fiesta etc...) and I have to narrow the search down.

Is this something I should be concerned about? Obviously it's a Ford dealer so everything should be fine and dandy, but I can't say I'm not slightly intrigued as to why it's not recognised anywhere!

Thanks

It could have a "blocked" number plate for security. I am told they don't come up on ANPR either!

Ex government etc car?

Ford etis will only know the reg from new if it's had plate change it won't know
If it's a government car also won't show up

Hmmm, it's only had one owner, sold originally by the same Ford garage that I'm buying from, so I'd be surprised if it was a secret spy car biggrin

Will have to check the VIN out when I get it!
