I am getting quotes of £65 to insure a car for a day!! Surely there must be cheaper out there?

I'm 31 with full NCB.

I've used insure4aday and they have been quite good price wise.

What car is it btw?

I was 30 with 0 NCB and payed £80 for 4 days on my old BMW 323i Coupe

Is there any other way of getting insured? Can your own insurance insure you for the day? All the day insurers are quoting me £65 for a day!

If it's to be your next car your current insurer should cover you for a month on it and your current car for about the same amount...but you will have to change your policy to this new car, so not so helpful if you are adding to the fleet so to speak.

I've seen HPI checks that come with 7 days insurance - worth checking out?

Can't you buy a years insurance and cancel after a day?

Aviva short term insurance (provided by DayInsure) is the cheapest I've found but they still aren't cheap for higher insurance groups.

RAC was by far the cheapest when I looked.

Or it could of been the AA, try both!
