'BEWARE OF FRAUDULENT BREAKERS in Forest Gate area of London'
I am posting this again without the persons mobile phone and name as my previous post was deleted due to breaching PHs naming and shaming rules..
All PHers be careful dealing with anyone selling parts on ebay or gumtree in the Forest Gate area of London.
The person I dealt had multiple ads on gumtree and ebay he agrees to sell parts, takes payment then delivers a box of useless, missing, different and broken parts.
Then refuses to answer his mobile or emails.
This is Fraudulent activity plain and simple.
Phers beware!
name and mobile details available by email if anyone needs them!

Yes, if they sent you *nothing* - a plain and simple fraud is taking your money for nothing, no? Sounds to me like they're just disorganised, so have either advertised inaccurately, or accidentally sent you the wrong item(s).... and are crap at communicating. How long have you given them to respond? A lot of people are taking time out at the moment due to the bank holidays.M3CS said:

sorry, but just no.. fraud isnt just taking your money for nothing, please look it up..they answered the phone instantly and emails within the hour before payemnt was made. And there is absolutely no way this is just a mix up, the parts are from a different vehicle and obviously so and also broken anyway and some parts are missing the rest are not what they offered to sell either and my order was confirmed several times by them to enusre it was going to be correct.
every single item is either incorrect, damaged or missing..
to top it off after not answwering my calls or texts the guy accidentally called me with the phone in his pocket, then accidentally sent me 10 blank texts, so I know he is just avoiding my calls!
In the last 25 years I have bought cars, bikes and parts from all over the world with virtually no problems, yet a minor purchase of generally run of the mill parts from London and I get completely shafted... wont make the same mistake again... stupid thing is I was going to make it a regular order,so not good business on his part.
Reported to gumtree who were "very concerned to hear" about the problems with the advertiser.... but then obviously did bugger all about it.

Is there anybody on Guntree who isn't a robbing
?
I bought my shed off of a Gumtree advertiser who must of been the only sane people I had spoken to and dealt with on there.
?The general impression I got is that all Gumtree sellers are either Eastern European, on holiday, out of the country for a while, "I wiil need to check with my husband when I visit him in prison" yes really, or just plain bonkers.
I guess you paid via bank transfer(BT).
I use gumtree but it a bit of hit and miss, and mainly for collection items i would never BT anyone, i have used Paypal after checking i was covered (gumtree is owned by Ebay), i have purchased a few items using Paypal and turned out o.k
I don't think you can do much, maybe put in a money claim but the police won't be interested.
just suck it up as a lesson learned.
