Driving lessons as a gift

Hi Guys!
My younger brother is turning 18 very soon. I wanted to get him some driving lessons. I'm not sure who to go with, or what kind of package to arrange for him. In the Ilford / Barkingside area.
I'm sure many of you have done this previously, so would be grateful for your help!

Google for driving schools in his area and check for online reviews.
Ask your brother to talk to his mates, one of them must be having lessons in the area.
Alternatively you could book with BSM.
I did this for my nephew, I originally tried to book a group of lessons for him with BSM but they never phoned me back on the agreed day/time to take any payment and arrange his first lesson !
Through recommendations from his school friends we found a local instructor, the first lesson was a 2 hour lesson for the price of 1 hour. Talked to him after and he liked the instructor...so job done

My son was car mad, when he turned 17 having never driven a car.
I purchased a weeks driving course with a local driving lesson tutor.
The deal was a weeks tuition finishing in a driving test
It started on Monday morning and he had eight hours driving tuition every day until the Friday afternoon, where he took his driving test, and passed first time.
Obviously he had done his part one knowledge exam first.
From never driving a car to passed first time, one week,
I think this was the best way to learn to drive a car, totally immersed,and corny I know, but at the end of the week he was totally bonded and was at one with the car,from being in it for so long, in a short period of time.
