Hi all,

I am considering changing my car. At the moment I have a 120D, 163bhp SE, 68k miles.

Now as a general all rounder, it is a great car and always gets 38 - 45mpg and the handling is just spot on.

I just fancy a change really. Previous I had an S3 which was a lardy MPG killer and didn't handle all that well (2007 plate) and had a few other nippy hatchbacks.

Now I am struggling to find a car as an alternative which is identical in terms of MPG, Performance etc.

I narrowed it down to a Seat Ibiza Cupra 160....... heard the ride is not great but not the biggest priority, Or something like a polo.

The main reason is to free up a small amount of cash (£1000-1500) but also replace with a similiar car.

I have £5000 to play with.

Partner will use vehicle throughout the working week so has to simply not be, a type R or something like that.

We were thinking about just downgrading to a Mini Cooper and just taking the cash from the sale of the Bmw.

Any opinions please? / can be saloon, hatchback, either or.

Thanks,
Liam
