Used car not recieved V5c after 6 weeks

Anyone else had this issue, think I need to send a V62 form with the tear off slip from the old V5c.

Do they return the tear off slip?

They don't return the tear off slip. They write to the previous owner, essentially informing them that someone has applied for a new V5 and asking for acknowledgement. Provided all is well they then send you a new v5.

I've called dvla before but it's all got to be done via post and forms

10 weeks is that recently and did you follow up with a v62?

Really they have to write to the previous owner!?

Dvla already messed up as the previous owner moved house and changed address only to add another owner
I rang dvla about this and they said just write a note to say of this which the previous owner did whilst sending back v5c mid March

They'll have a job speaking to the previous owner of the car I've just applied for a V5C for; he's dead, I bought it from his son at a different address.
