Exhaust polishing kit.

Afternoon.

I've finally picked up a Mugen exhaust manifold for my Integra, but it needs a good clean and polish.



Rather than do it by hand, as I am lazy, I thought about getting a drill attachment kit.

Would something like this do the trick and has anyone got experience of these?

I've used something similar but not on an exhaust. For £13 it's worth a go but I'd recommend starting at the softest compound and working up rather than starting at the fiercest and putting a hole in your new manifold.

I polished my exhaust using the Britemax twins and a sponge applicator.
I also use the Megs Dynacone for my wheel lips or just an old pad in my rotary.

Whats the pipe made of - stainless steel?

It almost looks like it's been coated already, would need to get this off first.

Having done motorbike manifolds before, they don't stay shiney for long!

Wet and dry, finished with brasso or similar.

I think if the OP is looking at some abrasive wheels at under 13 quid, Zircotec is a bit out of budget!

I'd be going for drill or Dremel attachments, followed by autosol or Britemax Twins. But they won't stay shiny for long.

I did my exhaust heat shield with autosol and the dremel. Came out sweet!
