Hi Guys,

I'm due to pick up a MK5 Golf GTi early next week. It has the common bolster wear issue (not as bad as A LOT of them, but there none the less).

It has the cloth seats, and was wondering whether you guys could recommend a upholsterer who would be able to help me fix this minor issue. I may be interested in having the bolsters retrimmed in leather to almost look like the Edition 30 seats, but this is only a thought at the minute.

I have attached 3 pictures provided by the seller highlighting the issue.

Thanks guys!
Faz

MJ interiors.
Nowhere near essex, being in yorkshire, but very well regarded in the VW show scene. Can repair, or sort you the 1/2 leather retrim and knows VWs inside & out.

Hey, just spoken to Lawrence, and he has quoted me £90. That includes replacing the cloth and the foam beneath it. I think that's a reasonable price and will more then likely be going to him as hes not too far from where I am. Unless there's anybody else you guys can think off smile

Thanks for your input. I have seen their work, and as impressive as they are, I cant justify travelling that far for a job as small (in the grand scheme of a retrim) as this.

Probably not, but I would hope that engine cover was only "used" for show purposes smile
