Okay, the name is definitely daft. But else it has 800hp n/a V12, it's red and looks cleaner and more cohesive than it's contemporaries (both other Ferraris and its wedge-in-a-wedge predecessor), has loads of no-bullst technologies (compared to P1's half-arsed 6 mile hybrid attempt). While there are more obvious upsides and downsides to it, it doesn't deserve half the hate here on PH. I just don't understand.
What I understand that, since PH is based in England, everybody wants the P1 to be better/faster/more special, and who am I to argue that. But I think I'll put a few points:
1. LaFerrari makes for better shape design than P1 - cleaner, simpler, despite being as much perforated as the P1
2. V12 is a hands down winner over V8 (also found in lesser McLarens) in natural torque/smoothness and thus being a little special
3. McLaren's publicity looks much more marketed than the other two - for example they are too 'shy', so to say, to publish their 'ring laptime despite it will be unveiled some way or the other.
4. Most of all, we haven't seen a direct comparison between all the three so-called hybrids but many already made their mind.
I don't care for the rest of the world - it's a PH thing, and while 'our' opinion is largerly irrelevant to those who buy it, it feels unfair from PH masses to the car and its makers to receive lukewarm welcome before we know what these car truly are in terms of what matters, i.e. driving. I've never been a Ferrari fan and personally would prefer the 918 to both the others, because Porsche, to me, is much less bothered to show off of the three and made a car for the real world, not some cock-measuring machine.

I didn't read your entire post because it was badly formatted.

But that's just like your opinion man.

I am neither up nor down on any of them. They're all impressive on paper and they all look good. They're also all far too much car for me to ever exploit and thus I strongly suspect I'd find them quite frustrating to drive. Even if I had this sort of money, I don't think I'd want a 1000bhp car. I'd feel like a tt driving something I'm nowhere near capable of driving properly.

So the OP isn't buying a Mclaren?

Is that the gist of it?

What's it like compared to an Evora? Are there any writers on here who can give a definitive comparison?

I'm indifferent to the Ferrari. I'm not keen on the looks of the P1. I think the Porsche is pretty.

I don't want any of them.
