Shouting from cars
Discussion
I walked down the road to visit somewhere local earlier and stopped briefly to check a text; there I was minding my own business on the pavement and a car passes at 40ish and the front seat passenger bellows at me to make me jump.
It worked .....and had he been more static I'd probably have lumped him one.
He did the same to a very elderly gentleman a 50 yards or so further along the road.
Fortunately, the old chaps ticker must have been in decent order (or he was a bit mutton).
I experienced the same thing when I was last out cycling; car draws up slowly just behind my peripheral vision and front seat passenger shouts.
On another occasion whilst cycling I had a bunch of lads deliberately drive at me out of a side road causing me to take evasive action from being hit and I ended up over the handle bars & on the ground with blood pouring from my hands and knees. They stopped & reversed back, I thought they were remorseful & were checking whether I was ok but no, they just shouted abuse & drove off.
WTF is wrong with people?
Edited: evasion to evasive (auto text, doh)

These people are idiots pure and simple and cowardly ones too as you can bet they wouldn't do it if they weren't in their car.
I get it occasionally at work; I work for a franchised dealer which is situated on a busy main road, occasionally you will get some t
t and his mate drive past and shout out something along the lines of "(insert appropriate manufacturers name) are s
t", as they roar off in their 10 year old battered Corsa 1.4 with a big exhaust; oh how hilarious!!!!

Do you wear lycra and hold the traffic up like the idiot cyclists did to me this morning for 10 minutes in rush hour?
I was a little surprised to learn that because some lycra warriors annoyed you this morning, you think it's related to criminal injury against the OP.How do you think this is connected?

Many years ago whilst cycling home from work down a country lane in the middle of nowhere I had some what tasted like apple juice thrown over me by some twunts in a Civic type R. I think being in a car is like being on the internet, people act towards others in ways they never would if they were face to face with them. If these individuals hadn't instantly sped off then we would have had something of a disagreement.
Conclusion: some people are twunts and always will be. Until policy is enacted where culling them is legal and encouraged then it will always be so.

Moronic thing to say.At least, not in public

On each of the occasions mentioned I wasn't inconveniencing or annoying anyone else at all.
Probably drug or alcohol induced stupidity.

Your last paragraph annoys me somewhat. I hope you took their reg number and reported them.
I wish I had but it all happened too fast and when they reversed back to have a laugh, I was writhing about on the ground in pain.It was a few years ago now; I've not cycled on the road since.
