Alternative to Octavia Estate

Guys, I'm after some advice. I've just sold my elderly Volvo V70 and am in the market for a replacement family sized estate. I've decided to buy new, and I'm pretty keen on an Octavia estate on Skoda's 0% PCP deal at £240/month.
Before I make a final decision, is there anything else I should consider. Max price £20,000.
Having read about Leasing deals on here, I would consider that too.

Plenty of mid-sized estates to choose from, what kind of spec are you looking at? Petrol or diesel?

You'd get a good spec Focus or Mondeo at that price, as brokers can easily knock 20-25% from the list price.

I have just gone from a 318d to a new VW Passat estate and I can't rate it highly enough.

Done 53k miles pretty quickly an no faults yet, I was put off by the old model as there seemed to be quite a few faults, we'll see how this one goes.

I only no one person with the Octavia and they love it. I think the fact the taxis manage 250k miles+ speak volumes!

Seat Leon ST might be worth a look, same engines etc as the Octavia, slightly less space but more kit and slightly cheaper I believe

I think Renault do a Megane Estate?
Golf Estate? (again, unsure)

Focus ST?

I'd take the Octavia over the Leon but that's comparing the mk2 of both. Leon's interior isn't as nice and the visibility isn't so good!
