Options for getting rid of an unwanted (unsellable) car?

Ok so this may seem like an attempt to sell my car but it’s not……
I’ve been trying to sell a car worth <1k. Tried the usual stick it on Ebay, Gumtree, advertised locally, had nibbles but despite putting on the add-please note my location once people realise that I live in the @rse end of nowhere they loose interest. The tax has now expired but it still has test until November, tried We Buy Any Car and they offered £150….. I thought it was too good to scrap but this is looking like my final option, it’s not insured so would need to get someone to pick it up. I expect it’s unsellability is down to it being a big(er) petrol engined car. I’ve spent about £30 on various adds so far, I’m having trouble letting it go for peanuts as I spent a decent wedge on it to get it through it’s MOT. I was always under the impression-from personal and anecdotal experience that any car with test was worth at least something.
Anyone else experienced similar? I'm tempted just to re-tax and insure and use it but seems a bit pointless.

Ok this is partly me being a little greedy due to me having my own opinion of it’s worth-plus what it owes me. It’s been up on Ebay with a start of £500 I expect it would be worth a couple of hundred in scrap value-can’t be bothered breaking. I’m off on holiday soon so when I get back I’ll stick it on for 99p.

It’s 2003, 123k in Elite spec. I didn’t want this to come across as a ‘trying to sell thread’ how have other people found trying to sell on bigger engined cars as Joe public seems to steer clear when in reality it’s not bad on fuel and not a great deal worse than the 3l V6 diesel that my mate had in his Vectra.I'm facing something similar with my 330ci, a few nibbles but nothing else so it looks like it'll be WBAC

The Signum is a pretty interesting car (in a very uncool way) but I expect the market is very small. If you are looking to make money back, you could look at breaking it for spares and scrapping what's left. Some parts will probably be worth a decent amount like the seats (I assume they are leather)

There a great car IMO, well mine has been. I was chuffed when I bought it as it was a ‘luxury shed’allot of car for the money, and much nicer than any of my previous sheds. Thy're kind of like a mini estate, back seats fold completely flat so you get a decent loading area.Slightly off topic but we bought a Signum as a dog bus and travelled quite a way for it; travelling from Leeds we went to far side of Manchester to view one at a dealers - it was a dog and defo not as described, we had seen another in Nottingham so continued down and ended up buying that one - it is a 2.0 L Petrol turbo (Saab engine) its quick gets around 26mpg round town, decent boot and is really useful with the seats folded - great buy and cheap to maintain. Like already mentioned it is a very niche market but the car has many benefits and I have since started seeing loads of them around since buying ours.
