Wheel refurb and colour change. Suggestions.
Discussion
I've got a 996 C4S with the turbo style wheels. I've had it for a couple of months and have slowly been doing bits to it to get it up to my standard. To date, it's had a full service, new pads and discs all round, new front coffin arms and fork wishbones as well as a Pioneer double din unit.
Cosmetically it's had a full two pass machine polish and detail and now I'm at the stage where I've got it booked in to have the wheels refurbed next week. Currently, they're a bog standard silver. It seems like they've been refurbed recently but just the front of the wheels. This is going to be a full tyres off, powder coat and baked refurb.
Colour wise, I'm thinking of a light gunmetal grey or a more flashier smoked chrome. The spokes are quite wide and retro so I'm not sure it will suit the chrome. Any more suggestions from you guys?
This is how the car looked when I picked it up...

Not Pork but I've recently refurbed the wheels on my TVR and went darker. I didn't want black. These are 'Himalayas Grey' powder coated, a MB colour apparently.
Cost of mine were just over £250 for refurb BUT the Chim does have small 15/16 inch wheels which helps

A vote for smoked chrome here: I had my SL500 wheels done in this and it looked superb. Very understated.
There's a pic on TWS website of them....
