After removing my RX-7 off my policy I've had my renewal paperwork for the RX-8 come through from Admiral.

£914. Good lord, I'm not paying that! A 3 minute phone call swiftly dropped that to £798 - but I still don't think I should pay that much for it.

What insurers out there that don't come on comparison sites specialise in performance cars? I really want to get this down to the £700 mark but even using GoCompare attains be quotes around the £900 mark.

Renewals always take the piss.

Mine came through (Privilege) for £420.
So, same as the last 3 years now, go online do a new quote and it's £290.
Ring them, speak to Dave (top chap who said "yes I know all about this one" when I announced that it's the insurance merry-go-round time again) who then promptly matches the online quote.

£130 cheaper.

Thank you very much.

My wie got a quote for her 120D for about £917, with 7 years NCB too.

They put it down to £771.

But swinton were offering £500

So she switched. No brainer.

Try LV - they've been cheapest for me for the past couple of years (at least of those companies that I've heard of or trust).
