I thought the car rental at the South terminal had closed? Maybe it's reopened as that was a few months ago.

Assuming you can still return to the South terminal, then follow the signs.

I've always returned to the North terminal lately having found the South terminal rentals closed some time back; take the slip road to avoid the roundabout at the terminal, keep in the right lane thereafter through the ticket barriers and the rental return is the last multi-storey on the right, up 2 floors I think...but when you walk out it's the same level as departures North.
