Ah , the effete 21st Century version of the Grand Tour....own a sports or GT car and put it on a bloody truck . I too will be in Scotland shortly , driving a leaky and noisy Caterham . Bit risky and off the wall and all that but I thought I might actually drive it all the way there and back - I seem somehow to have managed this superhuman feat of endurance a few times before .Presumably you intend to employ some working class people for menial work like holding brollies , wafting away those nasty horrid midges and so on.

Bit harsh there chap, I don't think there's any shame in wanting to skip the crap bits. I'd love to do something like this if I had the cash. Your dedication is laudable, but that doesn't mean the OP is worthy of scorn...There's something rather James Bond about meeting your car in another country, too.

Coppice, FYI, one of the chaps is undergoing chemotherapy and doesn't have the energy to drive all the way up and still enjoy Scotland. He doesn't know if he'll be able to do this again. It was his idea so he could make the drive, and a couple of others are simply curious to see if it's a viable option. Enjoy your energy and your ability to do what my friend can't, it may not last forever.

There's a breath of people on here who will offer their "righteous" (and often hypocritical) opinions - I just try to ignore them but wanted to take a moment to thank you for taking a moment to be kind to a stranger, when others chose to do the exact opposite. Don't think it's quite fair to go off on one at somebody like that - I can understand the viewpoint, just could have been put across a little less aggressively, in my opinion 
I'd be interested if you did find out a figure as this is the sort of thing I've been mooting for a while, but don't want to waste any transport companies' time with a formal quote request.

On a more serious note, if you're going for a week, I'd consider picking the cars up somewhere like Preston, or Lancaster, then warming them up on the motorway for a couple of junctions, then head up the spine of the Penines like this:

Maybe stop over in the borders, before plotting your route in the soon-to-be-foreign wastelands.

Don't underestimate the size of Scotland - above Glasgow and Inverness there are no motorways so pick where you want to go and enjoy it rather than rush and try to see it all in one go. If it was me, I'd head from Glasgow up the West Coast all the way to Fort William, Ullapool and beyond. Stunning scenery, great roads and plenty of places to eat / spend the night. Loop back round to Inverness and you can fly back to wherever from there and it would be an easy place (being at the end of the A9) to get the cars transported from.In fact, bugger that, get the cars transported to Inverness, fly up there and then head over to Ullapool, up to Durness, across to Tongue then onto Thurso. Back down the A9 to Inverness, drop off the cars, get on the plane, Fanny's your Aunt, Bob's your Mother's Brother etc.

k me I'm like the Alan Whicker of PistonheadsTry some of your local long-term supercar-storage companies. Most of the premium ones will have the trailers and insurance to move up to £5m cars and be doing it on a daily or weekly basis. Best to pay a little extra and do it properly, as some of the cheaper drivers may cut corners or rush things and wind up damaging something.
Keep mostly to the left half of Scotland for the trip. One of the three most beautiful countries in the world. Good choice.
