How slow/fast is the american car market?

Very much depends on the car. I've had a few. Needs to be in very good condition which in my experience very few are. The last one I had was a lovely trans am, sold well but rihanna just having used it in her video probably helped....

From personal experience (proud owner of 3 yanks) it can be very slow - but then lots of people are asking big money for stuff and don't seem too bothered if they have to wait a year or two to get it.
Most aren't everyday cars, so unless they are exceptional, the more they cost, the smaller the pool of folks with ready cash to spend on them is.
It also seems very fashion concious - 15 years ago you couldn't give rusty pick-ups away, now you can't sell the ones with good paint, same for hot rods.
When I started looking, old Yank Station wagons were cheap because they were massive rusty old sheds, now they are super expensive for the same reason.
RHD on a Yank tends to put off a lot of potential buyers too.
