VW Golf Mk7 - strange goings on with the windows

Strange but true, car parked in an underground office car park, locked. Returned to find all windows half way down and sun roof open.
Anyone experienced similar?

I had this on my A5 recently... turned out to be my fault for accidentally depressing the unlock button too long while approaching the car to unload something from the boot. This dropped the windows a bit which don't automatically close when you hit the lock/alarm button.

Lesson learned!

I had the same on my Golf.

We were lent a MK4 Golf that did this on it's own with regularity, I think the buttons became super sensitive. It also did with the key if you locked it and slightly turned the key back to far when taking the key out.

I've had a similar problem with my drivers window.

It had warranty work initially (about 2 weeks old). Haven't really had any problems after that.

I then experienced the one touch click wasn't working on the drivers door. I had to hold it well it went up, and kept going up, and then reverted to half way down without me pressing anything. I

I think I managed to fix it by just your classic, turn the car on and off again. Maybe unrelated to yours.


And just on the obvious side in case it's overlooked. Maybe you held down the unlock button for a few seconds and got them moving down, and then let go so they only went half way..
