When was the last time you filled her up?

Years ago for me.

I just can't bring myself to pay £100 for fuel. It hurts me so I put £30 or £40 in even though I hate going to the filling station and it means I have to go more often.

Every Thursday, regardless of how much or little is in the tank (as I pass my favourite petrol station) and means the car always has plenty of fuel in it.

This. I really dont understand why you wouldnt fill up as juch as you can every trip. Surely it can only cost more as you make more frequent trips.

Fill it up every time nowadays. Anytime I've half filled I feel as if I'm back in the petrol station before I know it!

There used to be nonsense put about that filling your tank resulted in poorer mpg due to the extra weight carried. I've never noticed any difference personally.

As for the cars, they both received a brimming tank of fuel last week.

If we're talking cars I filled up mine last week £70 to the brim from 0 miles left, always feels nice when it's free tho!

Doing between 25-30k per year, it'd be even more tiresome if I didn't fill each time.

Every single time run it until nearly empty then fill it up.

Given on my car its at least once a week the wife's once a month min I don't fancy going to the petrol station any more than I need to. I'd also add usually without a wait its 10mins though rarely is it without a wait so bare minimum I waste one hour a month.


I don't get the logic of putting in half or quarter of a tank instead of filling her up - if money is that short tight then your in real trouble.
