Lumpy idle (Throttle body gasket)...
Discussion
Would not having a throttle body gasket cause the car to misfire/not start + lumpy idle + throw up three different fault codes relating to the throttle body?
I broke it when I was cleaning it, I decided to spray some carb cleaner around where the gasket should be and the revs go up quite sharply. I've ordered one for £1.95 from ebay, so I'm quite confident this should solve my issue.
I'm pretty suprised that having no gasket can cause such issues, especially through such a small hole which screwed down pretty tight.
Is there a fault code reader I can buy to clear the fault codes myself rather than spending £20 to get a mechanic to do it.
