Thought this may be cathartic for many, although I think today's winner is already amongst us:

Woman pulls into a hatched box junction, against a red light (no wait, there's more…). She starts flailing around in the car, to the point where I start to try and recall what the first aid is for an epileptic fit. No need to panic though, she opens a window and announces to the concerned onlookers that she has "dropped her phone".

Never mind blocking the road (which she continues to do, as the lights have now turned green) - you need to pick your phone up whilst driving WHY, exactly?

The half-wit (half is probably being over-generous) in an RX8 who stopped in the outside lane of a 2-lane road yesterday because he needed to turn left, flowing traffic in lane 1 and a queue behind him eek

It'll be the idiot in the Nissan who pulled out onto a roundabout directly in front of me, seemingly without braking or looking.

Honestly, we all make mistakes, but I'm not convinced this bloke even understood it was a roundabout...

Most gym's have bolt cutters for forgotten lock codes / lost keys, just ask them to cut it off, I'm sure they would of done or at least let you borrow it once you can prove that it's your bike?

A BTP copper at the station told me about some guy who conned them into doing just that.

He was dressed smartly, but with cycle clips, helmet etc. Came into their office at Southampton Central saying "someone's locked my bike to the post with their lock". They took as proof "his" locks were on the bike, he unlocked his, they cut the other one off, he rides off on a £1000 bike with the aid of the Police. Genius.

The idiot woman (I've highlighted the sex for a reason) who stopped in the middle of the junction because the lights went red on her. Rather than go when there was a pause in traffic as the lights changed, she just sat there until people had to drive around her.

The idiot woman who sat in the junction near Clapham Junction who stopped in the middle of the junction because the lights went red on her. She stayed there even after someone flashed her to go in front of her because they had a green light and she was blocking their path plus wanted to go in her direction.

The idiot woman who sat in the junction in Surbiton who stopped in the middle of the junction because the lights went red on her.

There's a solution for you three. It's called public transport.

In all three cases, I just laughed out loud as I couldn't believe what I saw.

I now have a vision of willing "hunks" all llned up trying to prove they're the hardest in attempting to remove the lock either by hand or by nail scissors, slowly working their way up to the indignity of needing a fireman's cutter.

That sort of story does have the whiff of urban myth to it, doesn't it?

Moron in a VW golf who pulled out in front of me and came to a screeching halt on the middle of the mini roundabout between Horley and Smallfield (Surrey) this afternoon. I was in the family wagon (c3 picasso) and just managed to steer round him... Was amazed the little box on wheels didn't roll! Had the wife and 5 month old on board so goodness know what the outcome could have been a few seconds earlier.

Surprisingly he didn't want to stop and chat and sped off when I offered him a gentlemanly discussion about my opinion of him.

I'd like to thank the van driver who cleverly pulled into my lane allowing me to make sure my brakes (and my dog's harness) work well. Even better, he did so swinging round a woman who was trying to pull into traffic.... I do love a near on front collision.

Especially as the lock they supposedly cut would have had to be locking 2 bikes to be at all convincing... And presumably the real owner hadn't locked 2 bikes...
