Got parking ticket, usually happy to take it on the chin....however, ticket was on screen ONE minute after expiry. (Expiry 14.48)

In that minute I was able to get back to car, open, remove ticket, open ticket, photograph ticket and take screen shot. Factor in I could see the car for 30 secs walking down the street and the warden had moved on from my car.


Then looked at ticket and Council officer has fudged time to show 2 mins later.

Just remind them any future visits to the area will be to the Trafford Centre where they don't issue tickets.

Id appeal it. It would be worth finding out if they have an observation time, as some do. Its a technicality, but worth it, just to make the bds wait.

Ive had one parking fine in my life before, my fault for parking in a bay that had been suspended. Lesson learnt - be more observant when parking in bays!

I once interrupted a parking warden writing a ticket for my car by unlocking the car from halfway down the road. I got to him and apparently was about 5 seconds from getting the ticket...

To the OP, maybe if you send a nice, polite email/letter explaining the circumstances and the times on the tickets and your phone, they MIGHT let you off.

Don't be surprised though if they say "Well you could have just changed the time on your phone. Which, by the way, needs charging."

Is your phone set to get the time via internet? Worth asking to see the picture and proof of the time it was taken?

On a serious note this is why Councils are killing the High St with over zealous wardens.

Think I saw a recent case on TV where a ticket like this was overturned as not enough time had passed between ticket expiry and PCN issue
