Does anyone else secretly like the new Beetle?

Think sticking the vase on the dashboard has done it for all modern Beetle incarnations! I certainly wouldn't. Always loved the original obviously

Such a massive improvement over the last one.
I keep seeing a Black convertible one with a creme interior, It just makes me think of the Hitler mobile when I see it.

I like it too but I quite liked the older New Beetle too. It was just a bit of harmless fun as far as I was concerned. It makes you think of Hitler - really?

That would be me :-)

Here it is in all its glory.







Purchased on 8th February 2014 with just 160 miles on the clock, today it turned 11,000 miles.

I love it to bits, it's superb and a far better car to drive than the Scirocco I had previously.

In answer to someone above, there is NO vase in the new shape beetle.

Certainly gets a few looks when out and about.

I like them.

I drove a hired one in Belgium the year they came out (98?) and the way the locals reacted you'd think we'd just landed in a spaceship! Wherever we parked it there would be a crowd of people looking at it.

Quite cool.
Not as cool as the original though.
