Hi Guys,

I am among one of the many that has ordered a Cooper D and awaiting delivery.

I probably like a lot of you have received the letter saying there is a delay due to not being happy with the engine vibrations after 1500 miles BUT this was the last I heard. My delivery date is still June which I'm finding hard to believe.

I have no issue with mini holding off till its right I would rather have a perfect car but their communication is shocking. Wondered if anyone had any news.

Why don't mini do a decent economical petrol engine? If a 1.0 can power a focus, why no small petrol in a mini?

I test drove the petrol mini cooper on Friday - its a real step up from the R56 and a giant leap over the R53 we used to have.

Interior is great and ride is much more compliant whilst its really quick of the mark in a real world driveable kind of way. Made me think why anyone would want the diesel as the fuel economy was touching 40mpg and I wasn't taking it easy.

Sounds good, I didn't realise they had come out with that. Makes you wonder why anyone would bother with the diesel in this case.

I ordered the diesel due to the miles I do for work. Currently I get 72mpg + on the motorway out of my Ibiza hence sticking with diesel

Crikey do you??????

Mini claim the same 80mpg as Seat do for the Ibiza tdi so you might get similar MPG.

Sorry, can't help with your original query, or even remember what it was.......... biggrin

The problem has been rectified and production restarted. They fixed it fairly quickly so you may be ok for June.

Lol yes hubby hates my Ibiza for that reason. Thanks for the update on production. Be nice if mini could tell us this.

I have an F56 Cooper currently getting 46 MPG with less then 2k on the clock. Defently feels it can get in to the mid 50's. I drive twisty country roads all the time aswell

I have to say its pretty nippy as well biggrin win win realy
