I know these are fetching good money but asking £35k for this! Have to laugh it says "all parts that have not been burned are in a mint condition"!! the only thing I can see that is mint is the piece of 3x2 thats holding the bonnet up...also has been scrapped by the DVLA...

Thing is with the right papers and a proper rebuild, these cars are racing in some of the top Classics events and being taken seriously, at last years 6 Hours of Spa there must have been in excess of 20 of them on the grid and values are piling on, plus they are reasonably modern and not as fragile as some 'classics' so make an ideal racer for those that want access to those kinds of events without spending Maser / Bugatti money.

At times the value of the car is irrelevant, its the access to the right sort of events that also adds to the premium, that car won't be for sale long.

Fully restored it will fetch close to £50K so £35K for that seems steep. Looks like more that £15Ks worth or work and parts.

At £25K or less it's worth considering.

Yes I knew they were fetching good money but as a scrapped car I thought this was a joke I stand corrected but still think the mint parts is funny....

It can't be restored. Not legally.

I seem to recall reading that physically handling of cars that have been burnt can be hazardous to your health, and they should not normally be touched (straight to the crusher), but I suppose if this is historically valuable, then it may be worth somebody risking it.

My Dad stills moans about the value of these today, he had one in the early 80s when they were not worth that much and ended up selling it to get a brand new XR3i

£35,000 is rather funny though struggling to work out wtf would be salvageable off this other than the rear lights...
