Electric Car HMRC mileage rates
Discussion
I have put this in GG as opposed to the EV or Finance forums in the hope of a wider audience.
Does anybody have any information on what mileage rate an individual could charge as a mileage rate for a Tesla as a company car?
Is it the same as the usual business mileage in a company car where the user pays for the fuel or are there different rates?
I have done some research and found some info on Hybrid rates here http://www.hmrc.gov.uk/cars/advisory_fuel_current.... but nothing for pure EV's
Anyone know?

There are no official figures provided by HMRC, and they have no stated plans to provide them.
Currently the best advice is for the company to work out a ppm figure based on the electricity cost (probably around 2.5 to 3ppm) and have it agreed by the local HMRC office.
Without this sign off there is a risk that it could be seen in the future as too high and become taxable
