Cleaning exhaust tips
Discussion
Boring topic, I know!! I am generally crap at cleaning my car properly, but I used Autosol on my exhaust tips this evening and was simply staggered by the results. 15 minutes of rubbing in with a soft cloth and agitating with a toothbrush on some of the more stubborn grime took 7 years of crud off and brought them up looking like new.
Thoroughly recommended. I have no before pics, but here is an after pic

Autosol is amazing stuff! My R6 had lots of corrosion on the exhaust that looked naff, and no amount of scrubbing with cleaning products got any of it off! I was recommended on the bike forum to use Autosol, not realising just how effective it will be...!
Here is my pic with a after/before shot:

Just don't leave it in the bathroom and mistake it for Anusol by mistake or your tailpipe could be burning ...I was inspired by this thread to give mine a go. There's something odd about it though, I did mine using a greasy rag with Autosol on it. It was kind of like some weird tromboning thing.
I'm half way through at the moment, I think another couple of cleans and it'll be as sparkly as a mild steel tip can be
