General question re warranty...early service
Discussion
Hi all
New to the site so not sure if I'm posting in the correct place...
I'm about to buy a 12 plate Chrysler Delta. It will be my first new(ish) car so I've never had to deal with warranty before. Hopefully my question is straightforwrad. I know that a car must be serviced at stated intervals in order to maintain the warranty. The service intervals for the Delta are every 18,000 miles. The dealer has serviced the vehicle at 15,500 miles and states that this will be fine for the warranty so another service will not be required for another 18,000 miles. Is this correct?
Thanks

The service interval will be a maximum of 18,000 miles (and might also say "or 2 years, whichever is sooner").New to the site so not sure if I'm posting in the correct place...

So as long as you keep within the 18,000 miles / 2 year servicing schedule you won't have a problem.
There's also usually a little bit of leeway for going over the limit (e.g. 500 miles or 1 month extra).
The only way to know for sure is to read ALL the T&Cs of the warranty.
