Is there anything more longer lasting than Rain-X?

probably a bit more expensive, but something that doesn't need replacing every week or two?

Love this stuff. Goes on without too much hassle and lasts a long time.

Assuming you are talking about windscreens, the stuff that comes with PIAA wipers lasts ages and works well at high speeds. In fact at 70mph+ you don't need the wipers on at all.

At lower speeds it leaves a very brief thin smear as the wiper speeds over the screen.

I've not had too much lucky with this stuff.

I've used it on multiple cars with full IPA / G4 prep and still it just doesn't have the durability. Maybe 5k miles / 6 months until the effects seem to run out.

Will do 1 whole car, perhaps 2 windscreens if you're careful.

Haven't tried G1, but do use the G5 which I've found lasts well and is light years better than Rain-X.

Gtechniq.

I had the glass on the car done in December, water still beads like the day it was put on.

I think a lot depends on how clean and scratch free the glass is. I have the G1 Technik stuff and agree it does seem to last a long time on my 997. My Clio has scratches from a previous owner and it does not seem to last as well. Same product different results.

I think at one stage RainX donated a percentage of the selling price to Brake - not sure if that arrangement is still current.

I use RainX but have found that in very light rain it can leave smear marks.

I swear by this stuff... 3 windscreens with 3 layers each from 15ml.

Used it on my last 3 cars now and won't be without it. Lasts ages!

Doesn't seem to be on the current list, but they definitely used to!

If your shower door is glass then yes. If it's plastic/perspex then no, but their G5 would be better for static glass anyway.

G1 is better for durability but it's less repellant (but resists abrasion from wiper blades very well), G5 lasts much shorter but on side and rear windows with no wiper blade abrasion it'll last a year or so.
