TVR to £6k ish, mainly weekend use - what to get ???

Well Chimaera is up for sale and trying to decide what to look at. Criteria is

1. Coupe or Convertible
2. Decent turn of speed
3. Any age
4. Not worried too much about running costs
5. Weekend use mainly but odd daily use when other 1/2 steals company car
6. Not too common on road
7. Not a hot hatch

Thinking maybe go back to 350z but that would be my 3rd, S2000, 944, RX8 ??? Jag XK8

Interested to know how good a 350z is, do they handle nicely and have enough power in general and compared to say a TVR?

I wouldn't recommend a 350Z. Heavy, thirsty and expensive to run.

I personally really liked the 350z and would go back in one. Not the fastest thing but fast enough and a bit of a hooligan really. Think they are a bit chalk and cheese some people hate them and feel they are slow and heavy and tbh they are 30kg heavier than an M3 of same age but is that enough to make a difference in real world ?

I owned a Honda S2000 for around a year and it was a cracking motor: Excellent engine and gearbox, proven mechanicals and a wild ride, they aren't overly common on the road, but certainly not as rare as a TVR. Servicing isn't that expensive but the tax, fuel and insurance can sting.

I loved mine and think it should certainly be a car you should consider if another two seater is acceptable!
