Ordering some new tyres soon, allround for some 195/55/16's.

Had T1Rs on my previous mini, and despite being a bit roly-poly, did like them, and I've found them for 50 a corner online, not to be sniffed at at that price.
What can you recommend at this price point, for up to 70ish a corner.

For fun road driving, with good dry and wet grip.

I am eyeing up Falken ze914's?

I've always found AVON to be a pretty good mid tyre.

I'll put a vote on for kuhmo, had them on 2 different cars and never had any gripes, grippy and easyish on the limit, although this was on a fiesta hehe

I've stuck a set of the Falken ZE914's on my car in 17" form.

They're only 500 miles into their life, but they feel pretty well balanced in both wet and dry.

I paid £63 per tyre or thereabouts from Tyreleader.

Ended up with Uniroyal Rainsport 3's on both cars, found them so great on the first car I had to get the same for the second one. Camskill seem to sell them at a great price quite often but one car was cheaper with Black Circles once I include the cost of fitting.

I've had Uniroyals on my van and found them to be very good.

As others, can recommend Avon ZV5 and Uniroyal Rainsport 2 as very good midrange options.

Vredestein but seem to be getting dearer just now as apparently been bought over??

There is a deal on with fuel voucher (Tesco gift card I heard) on Goodyears just now 20 for 2 & 40 for 4 so may make them a mid price tyre.
