Earliest mechanical/electrical memory?
Discussion
I'm sure we've all got irrational impulses from our first memory of ooooh car! For me it was the East Africa Rally which led to an often hard to explain love of all things Toyota, however there's flashes of memory from before that time.
We don't remember much from when we were infants but I do remember seeing the back of my dad's hi-fi separates where all the wires and plugs seemed like some sort of space ship. Another very early flash of memory was the handbrake on my parents car (mk1 golf) that was this crazy leverey buttoney thing that did stopey goey stuff.
What's your earliest flash of memory regarding electrical/mechanical things that possibly led to your love of cars?

Helping/hindering my Dad as he worked on his 1600E.
It got badly damaged and he re shelled it, another possibly earlier memory would be sat in a Commer van on the drive listening to Bohemian rhapsody.
Both would have been a similar time, the Queen song was in the top 40 at the time, and God knows who the van belonged to, because my Dad never owned one.
