Lease on 20k+ mileage or buy second hand?
Discussion
Hi, I am thinking of swapping jobs which would mean giving up my company car Golf GTD Mk 6, but increase my salary by nearly 20k. But will need to get myself a car I will be doing approx 20k -25k a year. I am looking for something with good mpg and not sure whether I should either be leasing for approx 300 pm inc vat (or is that unrealistic) or I should I be looking at second hand cars?
This example will be about 380 per month if you pay the excess mileage charge. May be able to negotiate a better milage price if you increase the yearly mileage allowance;

Do you think it's better to go direct to a dealer or look to a leasing specific business? I am trying read through over threads to see what deal and sites other people have posted
From what I can gather, more often than not, the pre-reg deals tend to go to one or two of the big finance companies, who lease them out via brokers. Sometimes manufacturers offer better deals than brokers, but you have to shop around. Some of the manufacturer deals are 'business only', meaning they're not generally available to the public, although sometimes you can get them if you get a car allowance and can prove it in some way.Gassing Station | General Gassing | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
