Are they as good as I keep hearing about? There's what looks like a GT LE for sale near me at under £600 for a V reg. Are they better than a facelift sport plus?

Owned a P12 which was a really decent hack.

Had an R reg about 7 years ago for a few years.
Very reliable, handled really well.
Don't believe the mpg on the standard trip computer though. The 5-door has a massive boot ( 4-door has an oval hole in bulkhead which spoils through-load capability )

The GT is a totally different car to drive than the sport, they really are great to drive so dont settle for the non GT model if you can find a well looked after GT.
There are a very small number of facelift (P12) GT's around, I used one for a year as a cheap runner and it was great and looks that bit nicer being the facelift (with nice leather seats aircon etc).

Cheers, I'll read that thread. Sadly this is a pre facelift, but still looks ok. Will have to wait while next week to look at it if its still there. Downside is no tax, and I would need to use the car
