Best modern 'retro'/ classic cars

Now that Im in my 30s Im finding myself increasingly drawn to classics and cars with retro styling.
I own a Z3. Now I dont condone Z3 ownership at all, but I picked mine up for a silly price and being the wider facelift bodied car it appealed to me as a cheap and cheerful summer hack in which to tan my scalp.
A little bit of old BMW noncing on Youtube led me to an old Top Gear video of the Z8, which in turn led me to an old Top Gear video of a Weissman roadster. This got me to thinking about which cars do modern but retro well/ tastefully.
Im curious to see what fellow PHers feel about the whole spectrum of such cars, from high-end stuff like the Eagle Speedster (E-Type recreation thingy) to lowly, affordable beaters like the Figaro.
The odd cheeky browse of the Kit Cars section on here also leaves me wondering which retro styled kits people feel are desirable/ acceptable. Pilgrims (Cobras), Speedsters (Porsche) and even the dreaded Ferrari knock-offs...
Other than modern 'retro' and kit cars, are there any actual classics under the radar right now that are pretty, affordable and actually drivable on a regular basis? Old R107 (70s/80s) Merc SLs are looking rather cheap to me right now, for example.

The 2005-2009 Mustang probably pulls off the retro look best.
The 2010 onwards got funny rear lights and funny HID headlights that make it look like a boss-eyed Dodge Ram (IMHO).
The later interior may be better (in the opinion of others, not really me) but I prefer the true retro dials of the earlier car.
