Hopefully a novelty what car with no mpg requirement for you lot.

I need a usable daily that will double as a fun track day car but still transport 2 under 3s daily in car seats.
I am running out of ideas - will replace a 76 911 narrowbody which is big enough, but given recently garage reshuffle needs to go.

Requirement is 10k max, RWD, room for 3 (me plus 2 kids in car seats). Mileage limited. No oil burners.

Current list is
996 coupe
E34 m5
968 sport
190e Cosworth 2.3

What else would you suggest?
No concerns on age, mpg but reliability a bonus. (I discounted the10k Ghibli GT already)...

E36 M3 as a four door to make loading the kids easier. Leaves a few thousand for some track upgrades.

This one might be a bit too nice to track but you get the idea

Or buy a track ready one and add the back seats back in

I had the same brief and ended up with a Cayenne Turbo. Probably not quite what you're looking for mind you.

Doh, just spotted the track requirement bit..

Only three-seater I can think of is the McLaren F1, so I think we can rule that out on budget grounds.

If you're looking at the Merc get the newer 2.5 rather than the 2.3

Have 2x 4x4s already, though they are somewhat different..

E46 M3? Aren't they a bit soft?

968 but make sure the cams and/or gearbox aren't knackered.

I thought they did redface
Rules that out, then!

EDIT: A Google image suggests strongly that they are, as I thought, available in a 2+2, if that's adequate?

Yup, S15 Silvia is the import only newer gen of the 200SX.

Certainly on my list of possibles - not sure if standard car is sporty enough or whether I need the sport which has some club sport upgrades...

Look lovely though.
