Car Batteries

The battery on our Galaxy is getting a bit lazy as its seven years old now so it needs replacing, in the past I have bought cheaper no name ones and top of the range Bosch ones and not notied one iota of difference.

The prices range from 48 to over 100.

Being as the OEM one lasted seven years and I cant see us keeping it much more than another year or two, is it worth spending the difference ?

Its only 50 but it is one area where I have not noticed any difference between the cheap and the expensive, any observations ?

Even the cheap ones have a 2/3 year warranty surely? Plus, if you're only keeping it a year?

yeah, thats my thinking, got a few car realted expenses this month so am shopping around,

Galaxy Battery, oil change and MOT

C1 - 2 Tyres/oil change

350Z Engine/Gearbox oil change + Pads all round

Even doing it myself, it adds up

There is an Exide one at 68 in postage, and an "Advanced Energy" at 48

Answered your own question there, I think.

Impending sale aside, I'd normally avoid the cheapest batteries like the plague. I know a car currently into the 12th year of its original Bosch OEM battery.
