What's the deal with VWs with very small, wide, go-kart like tyres? Always older models and usually lowered. Seems to be a unique VW thing. Educate me please!

I'm not sure you if you mean stretched tyres or low profile? Any chance of posting a picture showing it?

Yoyoyo bravva slammin' yo Veedub is the way.

The more uncomfortable and the more unsafe to drive, the more scene points you get.

To be really part of the scene now you need to add a coating of rust

Don't forget sticker-bombed panels and big Gimpy tow hooks for pulling them out of ditches, add too many scene stickers to the windows and its a show stopper

*looks at car* I'm slightly worried the local police will be thinking I'm part of the "scene" now.

This won't go down with the PH Massive, but that looks fantastic.

Stretched rubber on uber wide alloys, lowered on air ride suspension, smoothed and decluttered engine bays, and hideous stitched leather interiors.
All key features of the current 'scene' it seems.

All show rather than go frown

No I've seen it on polos, they are tiny wheels with fat tires, I don't know maybe 13inches?

I hate the dub scene, actually I hate any car scene that doesn't have anything to do with actually enjoying driving.

I keep hearing about them all running air suspension, I so far have not seen one on air suspension. Every one I have seen have been bouncing around the road like a rubber ball due to the lack of suspension travel.

I find it all very amusing.

When I was young you tried to make your cars faster or look faster, now its the complete opposite.

Stupid looking tiny wheels with stretched tyres is the "Euro look". If this is what Europe has to offer they can fk off.

I'm sure the VW enthusiasts enjoy driving them.

Such a dated look. The continent were doing it back in the late '90's, and it didn't look any better then.

It's older than that - it looks like it started with lowriders in the USA. Here's a Cadillac rolling on 13s.

The idea is that the smaller the wheel is, the closer the floor is to the ground.
